Introduction
The Trust module is used to manage how your organization demonstrates its security and compliance posture to customers, prospects, and third parties. It brings the two sides of security communication — sharing your posture externally and responding to incoming security questionnaires — together in a single module.
Depending on your scope and visibility, the Trust module is split into two sections:
- Trust Portal — an outward-facing page where you can share your frameworks, documents, and certifications with customers and prospects.
- Client Questionnaires — used to manage incoming client security questionnaires, with AI-assisted responses drawn from your golden questionnaire, controls, and policies.
You can access the Trust module by navigating to it from the left-hand sidebar in Complyance.
The Trust Portal
The Trust Portal is a customer- and prospect-facing page that showcases your organization’s security posture in one place. It reduces the manual effort involved in responding to every inbound security request and is most valuable when it becomes the single source of truth for your security information.
Common reasons organizations use a Trust Portal:
- Sales enablement and deal acceleration: Prospects can self-serve security information during procurement, shortening review cycles.
- Reducing inbound questionnaire volume: When prospects can find answers themselves, many send a shorter questionnaire — or none at all.
- Responding to vendor risk assessments: Third-party risk teams can pull documentation directly from the portal instead of via email.
- Centralizing compliance evidence: Certifications, attestations, and policies live in one up-to-date place rather than across emails and drives.
- Controlled sharing of sensitive documents: Non-sensitive content can be openly visible; sensitive documents can be gated behind an access request.
For full setup and configuration steps, see the Trust Portal training guide.
Client Questionnaires
The Client Questionnaires section is used to manage the security questionnaires your organization receives from customers and prospects. The AI automates answers by drawing on your golden questionnaire (your preferred set of standard answers), your controls, and your policies — reducing manual effort and improving consistency across responses.
Common reasons organizations use Client Questionnaires:
- Reducing manual response effort: AI answers common questions automatically, letting your team focus on review rather than drafting.
- Consistency across responses: The same question gets the same answer across different questionnaires and team members.
- Auditable, evidence-linked answers: Responses are drawn from approved controls and policies, providing a defensible basis for each answer.
- Faster turnaround times: Questionnaires can be completed in minutes rather than days.
