Using AI to Create or Edit a Risk Treatment Plan

Introduction

A risk treatment plan outlines how a risk will be managed or mitigated. Complyance makes this process easier with built-in AI support to help you draft or improve your treatment plans—whether you’re creating a new risk or updating an existing one.

To get started, navigate to the Risk Register from the left-hand navigation bar in Complyance.

 

Creating a Treatment Plan for a New Risk

To begin drafting a treatment plan for a new risk:

  1. Navigate to the Risk Register.
  2. Click ‘+ New Risk’ in the top right corner.
  3. Enter the Risk Name, Details, and any additional information. You can also use AI to draft your risk description at this stage.

Using AI to Generate a Treatment Plan

Once you reach the Treatment Details section:

  • Hover over the text box.
  • You’ll see three orange stars appear in the top right corner, labelled ‘Ask AI’.
  • Click the Ask AI button to generate a suggested treatment plan based on the information you’ve already entered.

You can regenerate this plan if needed by clicking the Regenerate, selecting the desired option, and choosing Replace current text. The generated text can be edited directly in the Treatment details field after generation.

 

Editing a treatment plan for an Existing Risk

To update the treatment plan for an existing risk using AI:

  1. Open the relevant risk from the Risk Register.
  2. Navigate to the Details Tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Treatment Details section.

 

Using AI to Enhance the Treatment Plan

Hover over the current treatment plan. You’ll see three orange stars appear in the top right corner labelled ‘Regenerate’.

Click the Regenerate button to choose one of the following AI options:

  • Regenerate: Creates an entirely new treatment plan.
  • Improve: Enhances the clarity and quality of the current plan.
  • Shorten: Reduces the length while preserving meaning.
  • Lengthen: Expands on the details in the plan.
  • Simplify: Simplifies the current plan.

After selecting your preferred option, AI will generate the updated content and you can Replace current text to overwrite the previous treatment plan. You can refine the text if needed by editing directly in the field. When you are happy with your treatment plan, you can then also use AI to create tasks from the treatment plan.
