Introduction
You can manage the status of a risk at any time within the Risks module. You can close out a risk when all actions to mitigate the risk have been complete and you no longer need to actively monitor it. These resolved risks stay in your register but do not appear on your dashboard, so you can keep a clear view of live risks.
Closing out a risk
Closing a risk helps keep your risk register focused and up to date. Once a risk is closed, it will remain visible in your register, but you will no longer receive review notifications.
To close a risk:
- Go to the Risks module via the left-hand navigation bar in Complyance.
- Open the risk you want to close.
- Click the three-dot menu (•••) in the top-right corner of the risk view.
- Select Close out Risk from the dropdown.
- A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Close Risk to complete the action.
You can close out a risk from the table view by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Close out Risk.
If needed, you can re-open it at any time by selecting Re-open from the same menu.
